The Droid Incredible 4G LTE is NOT an HTC One phone
I'm seeing other blogs try to say it is. It's not.
The main difference is that it doesn't have the ImageSense processor. The camera UI is skinned to look more like the HTC One phones, but the DInc 4G is NOT an HTC One device.
Just FYI. - 05-07-2012, 12:42 PM #2

Re: The Droid Incredible 4G LTE is NOT an HTC One phone
First of all, thank you Phill. I'm tired of hearing everyone report that this is a One variant. It's clearly not. It's an upgrade to the Incredible line... which is a completely different line than the One. Which is fine.
I'm waiting to see if Verizon gets something along the lines of a One S, but if they don't in a few months, I'll happily replace my Inc2 with this. It's a great mid-tier phone. I will absolutely not buy anything with a larger screen than the One S, I don't need quad cores, so if I can't have the sexyness of the One S, I would be perfectly happy with this. It's a perfectly usable phone in an perfectly reasonable form factor.Last edited by npco543; 05-08-2012 at 10:04 PM.

Re: The Droid Incredible 4G LTE is NOT an HTC One phone
So even though its similar its not as good as a one X. I don't know whats up with Verizon it seems like if it ain't a droid there not interested I guess if i want a premier phone im going to have to switch carriers. This has been my problem with Verizon the five years i have been with them great network good service average phones.

Re: The Droid Incredible 4G LTE is NOT an HTC One phone
I know that do I have to name every droid phone ? plus your missing the whole point of my statement the point i was trying to make is that to me Verizon seems to want every android phone to have the Droid stamp on it ( I know there are exceptions) or they don't want anything to do with it. They seem to always be late to the party when it comes to the latest and greatest I was holding out of the one x and now I know i cant get it maybe I'm just ranting but its just my opinion.

Re: The Droid Incredible 4G LTE is NOT an HTC One phone
Verizon HTC DROID Incredible 4G LTE
8 megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash, BSI, f/2.2 and 28 mm lens
HTC Rezound
8.0 megapixel camera with auto focus, f/2.2, 28mm wide angle lens
As you can see from the above the Incredible has BSI which is the burst mode similiar to what the One line offers. It is a 3 frame burst. The Rezound does not offer this. So while it may not have the imageSense chip it is still an upgrade from the Rezound. - 05-11-2012, 01:07 PM #21

Re: The Droid Incredible 4G LTE is NOT an HTC One phone
The quality of the lens (F2.2 vs. F2.0) is not dramatic in terms of light transmitting capability - while it is exponential you're not looking at a huge difference in the quality of the lens. The BSI (Back Side Illuminated Sensor) for the camera's sensor (8.0 MP) is a big deal as it's shown to greatly improve the capability of the sensor to capture a quality image. Now, what's not clear is how much the lack of the new hardware/software imagesense will affect the actual images - is it mostly used to increase the speed of picture taking while not actually improving the images, or is it a combination of improved images and speed. It the lack of imagechip/sense means I just don't get .7" first shots with a high burst BUT it's still a high quality camera I"m OK with that (and if it's at least as good as the Rezound it will be fine). If the pictures are significantly degraded then I will have a problem. I would have like to have the rest of the One X/S camera tech but I can live without it.

Re: The Droid Incredible 4G LTE is NOT an HTC One phone
They're really pretty different. The DInc 4G is very much a progression of the Incredible line, keeping closer to the form factor of the previous Incredibles. It has a slightly smaller screen and the plateau back cover.
As far as specs go its not quite as clear as it seems. A quick glance seems to give the Rezound the edge but dig a little deeper and you see that the DInc 4G has an S4 processor, a huge step above the S3 in the Rezound, despite the lower clock speed. The screen is lower res on the DInc 4G but it is a smaller screen so image quality should be very comparable. The cameras are almost identical with the addition of BSI (backlit sensor) on the DInc 4G which will offer a slight improvement over the already very nice camera on the Rezound. Add in ICS and Sense 4.0 out of the box (Rezound will get ICS but only with Sense 3.5 or 3.6), NFC, the better efficiency of the S4 (meaning better battery life) and the DInc 4G starts to come to the top a bit. Its really going to come down to personal preference between these two.
I'm definitely going with the DInc 4G as I have been waiting on a 4G HTC phone with a 4" screen.
