Hotspot loophole

On my Galaxy Nexus (and some other phones) , there's a way to bypass Verizon's subscription hotspot service with apps like Switch Pro Widget and SVTP's Wifi Hotspot & USB Tether. Just curious if anyone has tried it out on the new Incredible. Does it work? Thanks!

With the new family share plans the hotspot feature is included for all smartphones that have the capability.
