This just appeared out of no where and I cant seem to figure out what it is.....The third Icon from the left. (actually I don't know what the fist one on the left is either but that has always been there and I didn't try to look it up)
Thanks!

The first one is your GPS location icon... The third, I'm not sure.. What recent apps have you installed? , its letting you know something is running in the background. You can go to Settings.. Manage apps.. Running.. and see if you recognize anything that it might be.
NFC activated. Otherwise known as Android beam.
Not an app. Happened after the update. I was actually wondering what it was myself.Quote:

NFC
Same thing on my One X+. NFC / Android Beam makes sense, since the icon looks like an N. It would be nice if there was something somewhere in the documentation stating that, though. Even running apps and processes don't specifically show Beam, but I'll take DOOGs word for it unless I see otherwise.
Nfc it is
Send from my DNA
So do we need this "nfc beam"? Or is it something to get used to?
No, you don't need it unless you're doing electronic payment at a cash register using NFC or something similar. I have never had mine turned on.Quote:
