Help! Where did all my texts go?

I had a bunch of texts on my phone from the last several months and now, all of a sudden, they are all gone!

Where could they have gone and how can I get them back?????

it may have hit a limit and been deleted. usually 200text and the phone deletes them. if u want text messages saved use handcent and back them up to the SD card

Ugh! That sucks! Oh well....

I do use Handcent. Any chance I can recover them now or is it too late?

Not sure how to recover SMS on Handsent, however there are a number of apps in the market that will save SMS's to your Gmail account. I forget the names off the top of my head but if you search for SMS Backup in the market, you'll find them.

I've had this happen and its not the 200 txt limit i think it has more to do with when it takes up too much RAM
