so far the only people i've seen complain about it was engadget. and even then they said in the subway the inc got signal faster than the droid, so it's a mixed boat for sure.

i think in normal use, it won't be something you'll notice unless you have both phones side by side all the time

I'm not worried about it. Once the phone comes out, if any issues on it arise Verizon is usually quick to push out a patch.. or follow xda for any haxor fixes.

thank you to you and the one other person who actually knows what a cellular radio is lol.

ok good im glad i try to keep up with all the new reviews between here phandroid droiddog engadget and bgr its hard lol im on the road a lot and spend a lot of time on my phone away from a comp and stuff so i just wanna be sure im not gonna be seeing loss of signals where ym droid would get signal fine. thanks for the reassurance makes my decision that much harder.

Battery life hienarchy-

MP3 SD Card>/=Radio>>slacker/pandora:confused:

Streaming music from services such as Pandora and Slacker use a TON of data and you phone is constantly working HARD to process it all. In all seriousness I bet you would be lucky to get 3-4 hours before the battery was completely dead if you were constantly streaming music from Pandora. The FM radio would not be as intense as Pandora and would therefore use less of your battery. I would even go as far as to say you should get pretty close to the same battery life as if you were listening to music off your SD card.

I play poker at the casino often. When I go to play I like to listen to music during live games. I have a tour that I use currently. The battery dropped 67% over 6 hours. So I had to stop using it otherwise my battery would have died(I normally play 10hour sessions). Listening to the same songs gets old though. I only have about 150 songs. That is why the radio or slacker can be a nice change.

Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the info.

That was one of the few good things about the Blackberry Storm...I could run Pandora for a four hour Saturday shift and only be down to about 80% or so.

Only one day in the year or so that I had it did I run out of battery...and I don't know what did it.

i really like how this thread has taken the wrong meaning of the radio the OP was asking for and run with it.

:p

I assume he meant RF not FM, but the FCC limits all phones to ~.5watts. So they should all be some what similar. So might as well make it about something that is worth while.

***Somewhat similar as in the same can be said about cars and gas mileage. several of the exact same cars might get a little different mileage just an oddity of human life.
