Gps and reboot...

I'm not rooted first of all. The only 2 times I've used gps my DInc got warm and rebooted a couple times. Any thoughts on what I can do to fix this?

if its the only two times u have used the gps it might be a hardware gps issue. you could try downloading gps fix from the market. but i would just take it into verizon and see if they will replace it. just a fyi verizon more then likely will make u do a factroy reset before they will replace it.

They likely won't replace because I bought it from Craigslist and my warranty doesn't cover it.

Ditto the Reset suggestion.

Be sure you back up your data before you do it. There are sever stickied threads on backing up data in the ROM's and Hack's section.

Out of curiosity - when you are using the GPS was it summer and was it on the Dash? I know in the summer my DInc gets real hot on my dash mount and I sometimes have to switch it to a vent mount. Just a thought.

I used it on the way to work this morning and it didn't get warm or reboot. About a 20-25 minute trip. Seems like I have most issues like that when I'm using the 1300mAh battery. I had the 2150mAh in this morning.

Could be a bad battery - they will do very odd things when they are starting to go bad. Tony Bag O Donuts knows from experience what a bad battery can do - he went through something like 4 devices until the problem was isolated to the battery.

Interesting. I will use the 2150 until my 1500 arrives tomorrow. I'm excited about the 1500
