Jumping in the contact list

I have someone that has 1200 contacts. What is the easiest way to jump down the contact list? Like if he wanted to jump to the J's. We cant get the keyboard to come up on the screen.

Press and hold the tab to the right and drag it down to the J's in your contact list.

To call them open the phone and start typing their name.

The best way I think is to hit the search button and just type their name.

Thanks, Ive honestly used 29 mins since I got the phone back on the 27th. So having 1200 contacts is something new for me.

if you know the name you're looking for, just hit the search button and start typing.

you can do this from the homescreen or from the people app.

This is one of the things that was the hardest to get use to coming from a Storm and running accelodex on it. You think it would have been easy given how similar it works, but for some reason it took some getting use to on the scrolling.

Yeah I have the same problem coming from a Storm. It never dawned on me to hit the search button. You can also put the search people app on your homescreen.

just use that slider thing on the right side. very easy to jump to whatever letter you want
