It would be nice if Incredible has SMS alert reminder: when SMS arrives, it beeps or whatever the sound you pre-configured just once, is there any way we can set reminders with, for example in 5 minutes interval? if we miss the initial beep, cuz it beeps only once showing that sms has arrived

You can use a different SMS application which supports something like that like Handcent SMS

Handcent is a completely separate SMS app that some love and some hate. If you want to keep the current HTC app (which I prefer), Download "sms popup" from the market. It is a very good app that I have been using since my Droid. It allows so much customization including reminders, custom ringtones for each contact, popups so you dont have to unlock the phone to view or reply..and a ton more ..I highly recommend it.
Note: be sure to open your current SMS app and disable notifications or you will end up with double notifications (one from standard sms app and one from sms popup)

I'm not really hooked on Handcent, just that I needed the ability to be notified loudly when I get an SMS page. I don't use SMS for personal messages but rather alerts for support.

I'm giving the SMS Pop app a try and it seems to be working well allowing the unloading of Handcent.

I had the handcent on my incredible for two days and dumped it, it was annoying the heck out of me.

SMS!Alert allow you to create custom alerts based on SMS messages, enter a incoming phone number and/or keyword filter, when someone sends a SMS with the keyword filter text or if incoming phone number matches, phone will display sound alert.
