Ringer Stops On Incoming Call

This has happened twice and the only solution I found was to factory reset which is simply a pain.
So my question is, has anyone else had a problem where suddenly, when you receive a call, the ringtone begins to sound, but gets quickly cut off halfway through the ring and then does not sound again? Next call does the same thing etc.
This happens with all ringtones (stock or custom) regardless of the location (phone or sdcard) and happens with regular calls or contacts calling.
Also, no, I do not have the quiet ring on pickup option enabled. Never have.
Any ideas?

Is this after you pickup the phone? If so, there is a setting that mutes the ringer after you pick it up. Just change that setting.

Menu -> Settings -> Sounds and Display -> uncheck "Quiet Ring on Pickup"

Sounds like a bad phone. Take it back or call for tech support.
