Media Player Volume Too Loud
Hello. When using the media player to play MP3s, the minium volume setting is too load when using ear-buds in a very quiet enviroment (i.e. office).
Is there a way to modify the volume settings to change the minium volume setting? This is a great phone and I'd like to be able to use it in place of my ipod.
Thanks! - 05-15-2010, 09:23 AM #2
Does your earbuds have a volume control on them, or are they amplified? If not I don't think there is anything you can do besides what you've already tried. All else fails get a set of earbuds with a volume control on the wire.

Re: Media Player Volume Too Loud
completely agree that the volume is tooooo loud when on the quietest setting on the headphones... not going to lie, I just bought the galaxy 3, and this problem is really starting to frustrate me given this is such would be such an easy thing thing for the company to fix. iphone doesnt have this problem, I had iphone 4 for two years and it was perfect in this regard, and I thought I was getting an upgrade with galaxy 3 but aparantly not. maybe i will go back to iphone

You're on Android now, not iPhone. Get an equalizer app and adjust the volume. Or go back to iPhone for 3 generation old hardware. Your choice, seems simple to me.

Re: Media Player Volume Too Loud
Hey mds - there are different volume settings for different media types. Generally the app in the foreground will have the volume focus and when adjusting the volume it should say Media volume.
I'm not sure where Samsung hid it on the S3 but there should also be advanced sound settings in your settings menu.
Short of that there are a number of equalizer apps available in the Play store, both free and paid. Give one or two a shot. One of these methods should solve your problem.
