Equals Sign?

Maybe I'm missing the obvious here, but is there a way to insert an "=" into an email or text message? I don't see it on the keyboard and if you use the voice-to-text feature it will spell out equals (if you say plus it will use "+"). Not really a big deal, just thought I would ask around.

hit the 1/2 button when in the number keyboard. it's on the second screen.

Pull up the onscreen keyboard, bottom right there is a "12#" key. Press that, and then on the bottom left, there is a "1/2" key. Press that, and you have a second set of symbols/icons to use (including the =)
