Sounds like it, mine hasn't had any issues. The only time it drops my 3G is when it's connecting to the various WiFi connections I have setup in it.

Perhaps smart phones aren't for you then. They are like computers, they aren't going to always work 100% perfect when you start mixing things together. Sometimes you have to perform maintenance on your system just like you do your computer. But then again some people also complain that their Windows machine runs slower today than it did new and never know what clearing the internet cache or disk defrag is either......

You don't want to do a battery pull when using a phone like the Incredible, it's akin to taking the battery out of your laptop or unplugging your desktop when the thing is running...I'm sure you've heard it before but an Android Device is in a completely different league from a Blackberry.

I think he meant more like, "what are you going to tell me to do next a battery pull? Then what??" Not that he actually did a battery pull lol.

Well, I took the phone to Verizon and the tech said "you have to do a battery pull to reset the system, it is just like a computer and you have to reset it every so often". He pulled the battery and gave me a smug "see" look. Nice kid.
I have 2 days before the 30 is up...do I hope Froyo fixes the issue or get a flip phone that has a dial tone.... - 05-25-2010, 03:30 PM #12
Just a question, are you really getting bad coverage? My bars seem low, but everything downloads blazingly fast. Could just be cosmetic.
Please use the Thanks button below and to the right. - 05-25-2010, 03:31 PM #13
I've had this problem on all my CDMA phones at various times. It was very infrequent but when it did happen it always came back within 10-15 mins.

What will happen is I will see the target looking thing next to the signal bars (I don't pay attention to the signal bars but it happens in various locations.) with no data connections - no 1xev or anything of that sort. I can go to wifi and pick data up but no cell data. Calls come through just fine, no data. Thanks for the cdma advice, I have not had a cdma device previous to incredible.

LMAO at the "take it to verizon to se if they have a fix" that had me rolling. Don't go pulling the battery and quit taking it to verizon for support. try reprogramming the phone.
EDIT: re reading that out comes off as a bit of an ***. Not intended, don't know why you are losing 3G signal. I had a issue with not being able to keep 3G on my first one but only in my works shop. The second one doesn't do this. If you can't get a answer I would take it back. If you do, don't update and see if you notice any issues that you has been having.Last edited by 2WheelCowboy; 05-31-2010 at 07:25 AM.

Yea, I am a glutton for punishment. I was wanting them to say "Gee, your phone is jacked. Here is a new one and no re-stocking fees apply". Oh well. If all I have to do is turn the thing on and off to re-set things then I will take it.
