SD Card Caused Constant Awake

Like so many, I had the permanent awake issue from day one. Tried every tip and trick offered, and was ready to give up. Took out my SD card to add some music and photos, got distracted, and left my phone for a couple of hours. Lo and behold, the phone went to sleep as soon as I took out the SD card. I reformatted the card, and the phone has been behaving perfectly since. Have not seen anyone else post this solution, but it fixed my battery life issues. Hope it works for others.
