Qik for Incredible?

is this program available for the incredible? can't find it anywhere, despite the fact that it says it's an android app. its not in the marketplace, and when i go to qik's website and choose an android model (desire, eris, droid, etc) it says "not found". is it possible to run this app on our phone?

bizarre. i did a search for "qik" and it came up with a single unrelated app. based on your email i just listed all top free apps, and lo and behold there was the qik banner at the top of the page. no idea how i would have gotten it otherwise. thanks

I can't see it in the market either. After doing a little digging, I read about a bug where some hTc devices are not seeing some apps in the market. It seems to be some, but not all apps that use the device's camera. Qik for sure. I read this on the Qik forums. Really trying to get Qik on my Incredible for a vacation starting tomorrow. Grabbed a .apk, but whenever I sign in I get an error "You are not connected to the network". Hmmm.

So you say you can get the app, but does it work? i.e. you can video chat using the camera in the back?

You could connect to an EVO 4G and say 'hi'?

You could try a program called Fring. I used it yesterday with my friend on her Iphone. She doesnt have a video camera so I couldnt see her but she could see and hear me. Pretty cool app. It also connects to other stuff like msn or skype or yahoo etc....

Well it's not really video chat if you can't see the other person, and I think you flipping the phone back and forth would get annoying to the other party lol.

i have the new qik i just downloaded but i dont see an option for video chatting where i can record myself and see the person on my phone... is there a Evo only .apk that somebody has I can put it on my incredible

I installed it a while ago on my Inc from the market place. A few days it told me there was an update, but when trying to update, it would say there is no app found with that name. I uninstalled it and now can't re install because it is not found.

I download the evo version and it won't install on the incredible, even after allowing install of non-market apps, uninstalling my previous version of qik, rebooting, and attempting to reinstall, as instructed by the user who posted the .apk. Does anyone have a working qik version (more recent than version 1.6) that they can share?

the incredible does not have a front facing camera...so there is no way for you to be able to record yourself and still see the screen at the same time ...

It's a novelty (and really, all video calling is, even on the EVO).

But it's a cool novelty.

Well, that's not exactly true...you have heard of mirrors right? Granted, definitely not ideal but possible nonetheless.

i know that but i can use the back of my camera to video chat
