Glad to hear this...
I remain on the fence.
I want Froyo, but I like sense and since I have no other basis for comparison, (Inc is my first foray into android) I dont know what I am missing (or not) from vanilla android.
We shall see.
The only reason I would want to root my phone is if a hack comes out for it where it increases the battery life (fix the radio problem HTC admitted to) and/or to remove unwanted "locked" programs like CitiID. Otherwise, I am more than happy with my sense UI and can wait for the official Froyo update for the Inc.
Am I dumb that I want to leave mine? I like SenseUI and have no desire to change things.
Actually, you're pretty smart. There are only 2 reasons I can see to root your phone:
1. There is some app you desperately want (or don't want) on the phone.
2. You are a complete geek (like me) and think it's fun to set up race conditions on a device to circumvent existing security controls.
I rooted my DI, didn't last past a reboot, I just wanted to see if I could do it. Still have the same UI, and crapware...no brick.
