Is this leaked update from verizon? Or is it going to be the exact same one from verizon?

Well it sure is encouraging to hear that it basically fixes the battery life. Im sure there are a lot of other fixes as well. Is there a link anywhere to read about this update? This is the same update that is supposed to come with froyo right?

I'm holding off on the leak. There are several threads in the DInc Hacks/Roms fourm that imply that the leak may not be compatable with the OTA when it comes out. There seems to be debate on this but I'm holding out for the OTA.
108 Heat index yesterday, expected 108 heat index today.... I'm looking forward to some FROYO
Some say that his dormant chips were left that way for YOUR SAFETY... Others say that once "turned on," he can not be turned off... All we know is... He's called The Stig. - 07-25-2010, 11:23 AM #7
Its just great to hear positive feedback on the leaked version. One can only hope the official version with froyo will be even better.

Re: leaked update for 720p plus more
Very eager to see if the battery life improves. I got the 2150, so better battery life would be an even bigger bump. I'm really hoping that release timeframe for the Froyo version of the OTA is true. Guess time will tell.

I also have better battery life. Haven't tested the video recording yet.

Can anyone with the leak verify if bump charging is even necessary? i tried it with my old BB and looks like the charging light turns green immediately in the morning when I turn off the phone. Meaning it is charging fully and doing the trickle charge throughout the night.
Basically I am wondering if they fixed the charging issue, or if they made an improvement to the wireless radio, etc. to use up less battery. - 07-26-2010, 12:14 PM
