Getting Dinc, will Blackberry charger be OK
I am getting my Dinc tomorrow 08/06/2010 and need to know if the Blackberry charger will be OK to use. I have heard that the HTC charger cord is not very long and my Blackberry charger is about twice the length and will be better for me.

I use the charger that came with my Tour at night on the bedstand and keep the HTC as more of a traveling charger. Works fine plus saves me the hassle of unplugging it and taking it to work with me.

It will work fine. I use my Storm 1 data cable, and charger for my Incredible. I have been doing this since the phone was released and no problems.

I kept all my spare BB chargers (travel / car / work) - my DI is charging on my old BB charger right now. It was from an old Curve, so I just bought a mini-to-micro USB adapter to fit my DI. Works fine, only difference I see is maybe a bit longer to get to a full charge (BB charger says 700 mA vs. 1 A for the HTC one).

I use a jawbone 550Ma charger w/usb to micro usb cable, 700ma VZW charger and sometimes the 1000Ma HTC charger....of and i also charge off my laptop over the USB at 500Ma.
I always prefer to charge slower if possible to extend battery life.
Fast charging has always been hard on batteries. - 08-19-2010, 08:35 PM #14
Gaurantee it won't damage it unless there was already something wrong with the BB charger but that could happen with any charger if it malfunctions.
The charging circuitry is designed to take USB voltage and any amperage rating up to 1000Ma.
The Blackberry is usually only 700Ma, well within HTC spec. - 08-19-2010, 09:34 PM #15

My storm 1 charger(s) work great. I got this for my car and I recommend it. No problems over the first few months.
