    Exclamation Android/Exchange- PLEASE HELP

I need some help please...I have a DINC and it is set up on the Exchange server at work. Everything was working fine until a few weeks ago. Now, if I enter a contact on the phone, it does not show up on the PC side. When I asked the IT dept. they said that it was because I did not fill in the first and last name, as well as the email address. When that didn't work, they said that Android and Exchange do not play nicely together and I would just have to enter them manually. Since it worked before and that there are also BB's that are having the same issue, I have to wonder if it is just a setting somewhere that needs t be changed. Also, another guy here in the office got just got his X and I managed to get everything syncing except for his Exchange contacts. He called VZW in lieu of IT and they told him that the only way to sync contacts on an Android device is to use Google. If someone out there has a solution, please let me know. This is FRUSTRATING!!

Sounds like it is on the server side and not the phone side. especially if it is affecting more than just the Android platform. Sounds like your IT guys have no clue so they are passing the buck.

Yeah, and Verizon is giving bad info, too. My contacts all sync with the exchange server here.

I have used my Incredible with an Exchange account since I got it and have not had an issue with contacts not syncing. I moved to a program called TouchDown that works with Exchange because I like it's interface better but the stock program should work. I did have an issue where every few weeks I had to re-establish my account on the Incredible. Don't know what the cause was but setting it up again was an easier fix for me than going through the hassle of dealing with the IT folks.

You IT guys don't have it setup right. Two way syncing works best on Android and Blackberry. Google actually has licensed the exchange stuff. So it's not a hack job it's the real deal. I would yell at the IT guys if I was you.....or wait don't yell at them buy the breakfast one morning and I bet it works by lunch
The Storm has cleared to an Incredible day! I ate an IceCream Sandwhich. Still needed JellyBeans. ;-)

**UPDATE** VZW determined that the problem on the X was contact "subfolders". AFter those were deleted, everything synced. I am still having problems on the DInc with the contacts that are entered on the phone not showing up on the PC side. Is there an Exchange Admin. out there that possibly knows what setting this would be so that I can tell IT how to fix it??
