Just updated several apps with Froyo on my phone. Just had to click one button for all apps to update! Nice! But I thought I saw that our updates would be done automatically. No intervention by us? Are we still going to have to initiate the process?

You can set each app to update automatically with a chekbox at the top of the about tab in the market.

1. Run "Market"
2. Select "Download" from the menu
3. Select the app you want to update automatically.
4. Check the box that says "Allow automatic updating"

Before anyone flames out and says that aut updates should be the default... there are many applications that I would rather DIDN'T update automatically. Especially apps from third parties that I'm not VERY familiar with.

I think this is absolutely the best and most secure approach to auto updates.
