Yesterday I left my trusty BlackBerry behind and joined the Android army. I haven't had it 24 hours yet, and with little time to use it so far, I have a lot to learn about it still. So far, loving it though!

I've lurked around here for a while, mainly researching phones for my big purchase yesterday. I'm not a big fan of the "Dinc" abbreviation. I mean, read aloud, these forums would not be safe for work. "My Dinc feels good in my hand". "It's not how big my Dinc is, it's how I use it". "My Dinc is so smooth". "My Dinc stopped working. Help!". OK, maybe not exactly like that, but you get my point. DrInc just works better for me. LOL.

Anyway, I'm glad to officially join the DrInc ranks. See you all around. Feel free to share your top single favorite App (or Apps if you just can't choose one), or your top tips and tricks, to get me going.

    Jim

Or you could say my Incredible feels good in my hand, et al. LOL!

Hmmm, come to think of it, maybe that's not such a good idea either!

Haha. Quick question. What are the advantages to using AppBrain as opposed to just using the Android Market directly? Thanks.

    Welcome
    Appbrain, IMO
1 Computer browser is easier to navigate than the Market app
2 Make a list of currently installed apps in case you ever somehow lose them and need to redownload them
3 The AppBrain Fast Web Installer is pretty slick when used with the site

Thanks! Will it keep a list of apps I've already installed, or only apps I've installed via AppBrain?

App brain will store a list of all your apps not just the ones downloaded from it.
