Hi, I am often in places where I get poor-to-no cellphone/3G service but there is a good wifi signal (e.g. lecture halls, hehe). For some reason, though, I can't connect to the internet/email/etc. under these circumstances. It's the same as (and the same thing happens) when I turn of "Mobile Network." Shouldn't I still be able to connect in Wifi only? Is there some other problem?

Thanks

You should be able to connect with the internet using WIFI, unless you don't have access to the WIFI connection if it's a secure network. You need to go into your settings and put in the WEP key for the network you are on. You may also have to log on to the network depending on what network you are on, kind of like connecting using a laptop.

Go to Settings >Wireless&Networks>Wifi Settings>Add Wifi network
