I dropped my incredible the other day and it landed on its back, now every once in a while it seems to swipe the screen on its own or not register my finger up sometimes. Guess its time for a new phone?

The "ghost hand" has been reported in other threads. Probably has nothing to do with the drop. Try cleaning your optical track pad with an alcohol swab. Should fix the issue.

Also try a battery pull. While the phone is 'on' remove the battery and leave the phone 'off' for a minute. Re-install the battery and turn the phone back on. That solved my 'wandering screens' problem...

I've noticed the same thing on a G2 when the trackpad is pointed at certain lights. My overhead kitchen light always seems to do it, for example.

Interesting point about the light. Mine does this once in a while as well. I've just been doing a battery pull every few weeks.
