Skype has disabled its add on in Fring & Nimbuzz, so the only options for free in/outbound calls left are:
1. Wifi + Google Voice + Fring ( Gizmo5 add on )*
2. Wifi + Google Voice + Nimbuzz ( Gizmo5 add on )*

* You can buy Gizmo5 account on Ebay for $10
*SIP Settings for ( Gizmo5 add on ) in both Fring & Nimbuzz
? Proxy Server (Host): proxy01.sipphone.com
? Proxy Server (IP): 198.65.166.131
? Registration Server: proxy01.sipphone.com
? SIP Port (UDP): 5060
? STUN Server: stun01.sipphone.com
? STUN Port: 3478
? User ID: 17471115555 (replacing with your 1747)
? Auth ID: 17471115555 (replacing with your 1747)
? Password: (your gizmo5 password)

I have tested both, but I like Nimbuzz more because it has clearer voice sounds and it is very stable compared to Fring's instability on Wifi.

To exclude 3g & regular cellphone service interference, put your Droid in " airplane " mode and turn on Wifi, then open the browser and initiate a call in Google Voice, do not use GV application downloaded from market, in fact I uninstalled it for good.
If you have any questions, just ask.
Who said that the free cheese is in the mice trap only ? :)

Isn't it easier to just use the Google Voice app and sipdroid? The new version of sipdroid sets up an account on pbx.org and you done't have to buy gizmo5 or install any other application.

I tried Wifi+GV+SipDroid/Guava with Gizmo5 add on, both were very unstable on wifi.

Can you give us step by step instructions for the set up of GV+Sipdroid, I have a feeling that there is a missing link between the two, and pbx.org where to add? thanks.
