help disk inserted not readable

I am a rookie and need help. When I plug in my Incredible to my Macbook Pro I get the pop up disk inserted not readable.

Yes there are many answers online to this but none I can understand.
Please what do I need to do?

Also, I keep getting Google process has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. Help

Menu > Settings > SD & Phone Storage >

press Unmount SD Card

now press Format SD Card

Please be warned if you do this any data on your SD card will be ERASED! so make sure you don't have any on it already.

I have never used a Mac so I might be wrong but do you have the correct drivers installed on your Mac?

Sounds like a corruption. Had this myself once on a phone that was failing. Only thing I could do was a Factory Reset and lose everything that wasn't backed up.

Could be it's the silly VZW VCast CDROM software.

Try this to disable the CDROM drive emeulator on the phone.

Dial ##7764726
Hit Call
Type Password is 000000
Hit Feature Settings
Choose CD ROM
Click Disable
Hit menu, commit modifications (it will say no item changed)
Back out to home
