I have the Market, Appstore and Appbrain. There are definitely disconnects when using multiple app markets. I think the biggest is that you obviously can't get updates from the market or appbrain for apps downloaded through the appstore. It can get confusing but I really try to stay more focused on productivity, social networking apps, and widgets over games so I don't have too many to manage.

Today's Free Paid app is Spanish Translator Pro, which is listed at $1.99. I have no need for it since I have Talk To Me Cloud, which is free and translates many more languages than just Spanish.

4 Player Reactor is today's Free Paid app, marked down from $1.99. It seems to be a puzzle game of sorts.

I'm not much of a gamer, but for some reason I decided to get this game... It had a lot to do with the comments and reviews that other people left

Gem Miner: Dig Deeper is today's Free Paid app marked down from $1.99. I don't know, but it sounds like the name of a bad 90's porn flick!

Today, it's Wave Launcher as the free paid app marked down from .99.

I downloaded today's free app, but I don't know if I will ever use it. I used to have a palm pre and I like the way that the wave launcher worked in that phone

Today's Free Paid app is Gentle Alarm, marked down from $.99.
I absolutely grabbed this one... I use my alarm (alarm clock plus) everyday, and It has a gentle wake up feature too.. but this one is freaking sweet... just make sure you read all of the instructions (info) about it... it will seem complicated if you don't... I am looking forward to using it tomorrow morning :) I love when they give away good apps... which is about once a week...

It is freakin sweet, I just spend 30 mins setting it up... It has a feature that gently wakes you up 30 mins prior and then let you fall back asleep to wake up feeling refreshed... I am obsessed with my alarm clocks... I love my sleep... I will post back tomorrow and let everyone know what I think... and I HIGHLY recommend reading all of the instructions and info about it... there is ALOT of customizations you can do with this one... well worth the DL :) might just be at the top of my list of new fav and most used apps :)

Today's Free paid app is Air Control, marked down from $1.99. It's a puzzle game in which you control the path of planes taking off and landing in an airport by drawing lines on screen to create it's flight path. That is the simple fun of it. If you intertwine the lines, the planes will crash.

thanks for the constant updates, much appreciated, however, I must pass on yet another useless game that I will never use... I must say, yesterdays app (gentle alarm) is freakin sweet... one of my favs

No problem. I figured that some of these apps actually are useful. So my duty as part of this great Android community is to at least try and help.

Benefits to the store:
Free app a day (nice for test driving apps I wouldn't normally buy and can download and install later)
Easier to search for apps than the Market
Some restrictions for submitting apps which means a little less junk

Negatives
Free app of the day is usually not something I want (today's is just a clone of Flight Control which was free recently too)
Have to go to Amazon store and the Market to check for updates
Can't remove apps in the My Apps section what I have downloaded before and just wanted to mess with but will never bother with again.

It's funny. Now that I have used this AppStore so often, the most useful apps I have downloaded are Fancy Widget Pro, Soundhound ∞ and Tune-In Pro. These are the apps I use the most since Amazon's AppStore gave them away. ssetv seems to be correct about the one GOOD app per week observation. I know of a friend who just engourged himself on free apps from the Store. Now he's had to uninstall some of them. He had too many! :)

Taskpad, normally $3.99, is today's Free Paid app of the day. It seems to be for people that are too busy to pick up their phones!

I am definitely going to pass on the task pad, because I read all of the reviews on it... I must say the gentle alarm app that was free yesterday is probably my new favorite app, I tried it this morning And it is freaking awesome... Now that I know how it works which took a while to read the instructions, I probably would have bought it anyway
