Dinc and wifi

Just curious.... are these phones set to only allow such a download speed when on wifi? I just tested my wifi speed on my laptop and got 18mbps but the dinc on same wifi will only do around 2-3mbps, and regardless of where I go I can never do better than about 0.90-.093 mbps upload, wifi or 3G.

Now, I have seen up to almost 8mbps download on other wifi systems on my Dinc, but here at home never over 3mbps even though the laptop is nearly 20mbps.

Is this typical??

Update...

I noticed that my laptop was using Indianapolis, IN for the server. My Dinc was using Lexington, KY (I live in Georgetown, KY) so I switched Dinc to Indy and got nearly 11mbps, but still only 0.93 on the upload. But still, can't the Dinc do nearly as well as a laptop for download speeds??

You might have a nice connection at home but your processor in the phone can only go so fast.

My guess is that the information your trying to get is being bottle necked with the cpu. (Such as watching a video or viewing a web site.)
