I have the Verizon Fascinate, I tried reloading the ROM on it a while back using Odin, because it was giving a force close error repeatedly. I tried to factory restore the phone using the down arrow + home button and it still gave me the same error. So then I decided to reload the ROM, from which then I can no longer factory reset or boot to the operating system. I tried Odin one last time last night with the original ROM but constantly got stuck on the "MOVEINAND" step. The tutorial I used called to load the MD5 under the PDA button. If anyone has a solution, it would be appreciated.

I really appreciate the reply, but unfortunately the problem still persist. I followed the instructions step by step, downloading the MD5 and also ODIN. I was in download mode using the down arrow at boot up and also unchecked all the options listed in the guide. And it is still stopping on the "MOVEINAND" step. The operating system works for some reason without it being completed, but full of errors. I'm not freaking out about it, just want to have a working phone. Any life savers? Lol.

I also tried the atlas 2.2 step as well and still nothing. And let me ask another question. Do I have to rename the extension for the MD5, the extension reads, "tar.md5.tar" without the quotes. Just curious.

You don't have to rename anything. Which ROM are you trying to load? If not using latest stock EH03 I would try that.

I used the stock ROM for 2.3.5 found below and it worked beautifully for me.



The file name is CI500_VZW_EH03_GB_CM.tar.md5

You won't be using the Factory Reset option in CWM. Just ODIN (v1.3) this to your phone via the PDA button and you're back to stock.

Here are the steps:
- Power down phone.
- Remove battery
- Launch ODIN on PC.
- Connect phone to computer with USB cable.
- Press and hold the volume-down key.
- You'll see yellow triangle (download mode). You can now release the volume key.
- Click on the PDA button in ODIN. Do NOT click the Phone button.
- Choose the EH03 rom file CI500_VZW_EH03_GB_CM.tar.md5
- Click start
- You'll get a success/failure message when done. It takes a few minutes

2. Which ROM are you currently on?
3. Which ROM do you want to get on to?
4. Are you stock or Rooted?
5. Do you need links to any files?

Or you could try heimdall I find that its better then Odin. Just my 2 cents.

+1 Heimdall. It's really pretty straightforward, I was a little intimidated at first, simply due to the fact that it's not ODIN, and I had gotten so comfortable with ODIN, but Heimdall fixed my phone when ODIN couldn't.

hello guy, I had the same problem as chroco. I have the 2.3.5 EH03 but Odin kept kicking me out. Now my phone is dark and all I could get is the screen with the yellow triangle but couldn't flash anything. I also tried heimdall but it could recognize my fascinate even though I have the samsung driver. Now I just want to get it back to the VZ stock but couldn't even do it. Any suggestions?
