gunner, please don't take that comment personally. what is meant is that there is an expectation in the community that you ask questions only AFTER you have read through the forums to find the answer to your questions; after all, that is the purpose of the posts to begin with. doing that helps keep needless threads/posts to a minimum and helps prevent wasting people's time.
based on the number of new threads you've posted and the kind of questions you ask it makes it appear like you may have not done the expected research first to answer your questions. this kind of activity can annoy the very people you are looking for help from.
bottom line: search here in AC and in the XDA forum first before asking questions. if you state in your post how you read about how to do something, etc but you don't understand it, or you tried to do what whatshisnuts said to do in his post but it didn't work and your lost, etc. etc., then you will get a ton of people jumping up to help. most people really enjoy helping others with problems because they've been in your shoes.
another suggestion would be not to start new threads every time you have a question - pretty much everything a new user can think of has already been covered in these forums. instead, post your question in the relevant thread, unless of course you really feel like it something not already covered elsewhere."One Really Really Deep Thought" by Ytaay...

sorry for the gun jumping there. in every case i have done searches in the forums. most of the time its as you said, i read something in here or xda but did not understand how to make what i read happen. thats why when i figure something out or finally get it right i post step by step what i did so that everyone else will know exactly what i did, i figure its far more helpful that way. i also hate it when i put several hours over a couple of days into helping someone else out and then they dont let you know what happened. but i digress. there are a thousand questions i have found the answers to and obviously not posted. i dont do just general google searches for answers, if it doesnt come from here or xda i am very cautious of it. i know i can trust the info that i get here. i do realize i have posted many threads, and i will be more mindful of that in the future. i am sorry if i annoyed anyone. and most of all i am very greatful for all the help everyone here has been. these two forums have helped me turn a pos into a great phone. i try as much as i can to return the help i get. anyway, sorry, and thank you.

It was funny, at least to me, because this thread was *right next to* an established thread called "Super Clean Rom (Dj05) Version 0.8"... When in doubt, recycle! Your question wouldnt have been out of place at all in the context of that thread.

I do. I had look for a download for that particular rom. When I could not find one I posted that thread. I did not realize that I should have posted on the existing thread. I figured it was a different question so I posted a new thread. I am not only a newb to android, I am also a newb to these forums.

I'm going to close this thread down guys. Please don't be offended, it's just confusing at this point with the other SuperClean .08 thread, and there's not much of use here for those interested in discussing it.
Thanks for those who were helpful and to everyone for keeping calm, and going down the flame-war route.
