    Default How to use Odin?

I would like to start a tutorial as to the correct way to use odin, I have installed DJ05 raido, rom and kernel. I want to go back to stock and found tutorial but it only tells you to flash the stock radio (i believe, not sure if its the stock rom) with odin by checking pda and finding the file. however it also has download links to the stock rom, kernel, and recovery. My question is, Do i follow the same steps in odin to flash the rom. kernel, and recovery?

    Thanks.

Here is a link to a post i just did a couple mins ago, if you look towards the bottom there is a link to XDA with a packaged stock rom, vs doing the modem , rom and kernel.....if you do them seperately i believe you use odin for radio and clockworkmod recovery for rom and kernel
    http://forum.androidcentral.com/fasc...flash-rom.html

If you do this video please pm me and let me know , i would like to see it

if you follow the link on my first post it will take you to the same thread at xda that you are talking about. In that aspect at least I am on the right track.

I see the following files to download

    "Download:
    Odin:
    Odin Restore file for /system:
    Odin Restore file for kernel:
    Odin Restore file for recovery:
PIT file for use in Odin Restores: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/458252/Odin%...00-VZW-pit.pit"

witch file is the package stock rom? I see the odin program file, the kernel file, the recovery file and the system file (i think this is the rom), and then there is the pit file.

is the pit file the "package" stock rom?

ok, WARNING your about to get frustrated at a noob.

the system, kernel and recovery end in tar.md5 format, so I do all three? I though I was looking for a single file only. Thanks

    Its in the directions
    Steps:
    1. Pull battery from device
    2. Open odin on desktop
    3. Hold volume down button and plug device into computer
-This will place the device into download mode
    4. Verify device shows up in odin
    5. Click "PDA" button in odin
    6. Select "Stock-i500-VZW-System.tar.md5" from where you downloaded it
    7. Click "Start"
    8. Enjoy your fixed /system partition!

thats a different file, I thought you said recovery, not system.

Anyways I ended up flashing all 3. I still have DJ05, I want to revert back to D101.

it worked, I am back to DI01.

One more question, did I need to flash all three previous files(system, kernel, recovery)? and then the DI01 package or could I just gotten away with flashing the DI01 package?
