Hey folks,

I have been waiting to update so that I could release a super clean froyo version for you.


Finally, something stable. I kipped 2.7 altogether, as it was an unlucky number. So I present you with 2.8. This has been thoroughly tested and should be just fine.

Changes since 2.7/2.6:

-- Malware protection file included.

--Moved back to amend script due to flashing issues for non voodoo users, and conversion issues for voodoo users.

--Latest Maps.

--Scwitched to GizmoDroid's mms app modification. His works better than mine.

--Updated to sbrissen's latest framework, modifying the carrier edit a bit (thanks andmer for instrructions).

--Added old eb01 debinged browser, as is more stable.

--Notification shade now has a slight transparency to it, credit nitsuj17 and ludeboy.

--eb16 kernel with fake hotspot monitoring module included.

--Wifi scan interval set to 2 minutes, in an attempt to save battery. YMMV on this one. I've heard from both ends of the spectrum during testing.

--Removed LG widgets to save battery life.

--Added aosp gallery back due to suggestion from beta tester, thanks calebv2.

Many thanks to all the brave beta testers, some who had to Odin a few times until I got it right I'll be recruting more as time goes on.

DRM has been removed as well as divx app, seeing how it relies on it. It can be added in as a patch (listed on this page).

2.5 changelog (Its big)

Merged portions of EB16 into EB01 superclean.
EB16 and superclean now share 614 (out of 857 total superclean files) of the same files. The list is too large to really show. So the rom is ~75% EB16, and the rest EB01, either stock files, or modded by me/others.
Modified sbrissen's current phone, lock, and time mods into current superclean framework. This includes aosp lock answer, am/pm/clock on-off via settings (clock off requires reboot), and better removal of full battery notification.
Go to settings, time and date to make these changes.
Added xoom boot animation, modified by mastamoon to better fit our resolution.
Modified my dialer to be a bit more elegant, now that Samsung partially fixed their typos (I fixed the rest).
Fixed the ringtone corruption on some ringtones (I think).

I SUGGEST YOU DO A DALVIK-CACHE WIPE, AT THE VERY LEAST!

Hate to ask this but can we load the DL09 modem and then flash this over a DJ05 rom? I believe the kernels are compatible but would need the radio. I assume a wipe would be needed as well? I have gone from DI01 and DJ05 with no wipes at this point

You will need the DL09 modem and a kernel compatible with DJ05 and DL09. You will lose haptic with a DI01 kernel.

I guess I did not read whether the rom includes a kernel. Most don't anymore.

If I have a rooted phone still running dI01 and want Super Clean as well as DL09 can I just go straight to this instead of the stock release, rerooting and then adding this?

This is largely untested, so use at your own peril.

Adrynalyne: Is this pretty close to JT's DJ05 clean .4? Only reason I ask is that I ran clean .3 for a long time since the nuance voice app worked on it. I switched to try some newer versions and have never got the nuance app to work again. I can add it manually but it opens and closes on all roms after .3. I would love to get this working again and I did confirm that it won't work with this DL09 .4 rom.

Do you know what all is removed from these to stop the app from working?

Thanks for posting this. I just started flashing Roms today and you guys make it crazy easy. After one failed attempt with CWM she was up and running!

Fist time around it just said (bad) I don't know what I did wrong. The second go round it was smooth sailing. Would it be that I didn't flash CWM with Rom manager the first time? Anyway thanks again!

Yeah, nuance is pretty ingrained into the OS. This is closer to .9 than JT's .4.

If you would like a Nuance apackage, I may be able to to arrange it. Just let me know, thanks.

is it normal not to have a splash screen? I installed the DL09 odin package with the rom radio and kernel, I saw the splash screen when it booted. I then flash clockworkmod and rooted the phone, I wasn't paying attention when the phone booted then but after I flashed the super clean rom on this thread and when it booted I had no splash screen. everything else seems to work the same, did I do anything wrong?
