I cant get anything to root right now. What am I doing wrong. I follow the one click, reinstalled the drivers and still device not found after the reboot.

MIne has the same error. Follow the one click method. It finds the device and says installed superuser. Shutdowns and reboots. I unlock the phone and it gives me an error that reads "error..device not found".
Any suggestions?? - 01-13-2011, 11:38 AM

Maybe that is why I am having trouble installing it. I am not using any kind of installer from the market or otherwise. Is this usually required to install .apk files?

its not required, i am using the file program that comes stock, but sometimes in some phones you have to try a different method,,,if those files dont work ill place the original site maybe downloading it from there will yield a different result. but try one of those explorers from the market

I was getting ready to try the installer you referred (filedroid pro), but have not done so yet, just saying Thanks for the suggestions. I will give it a shot and update you on if it works.

I tried File Droid Lite and Astro, and niether of them worked......I may try and redownload the file and then see if that changes anything. Another question though, my phone is like extremely slow after installing the new update, is anyone else complaining about this issue?

If using one click method please note the following as it worked for my phone.
edit the start_root.bat
modify the line: call PMSLEEP 60
to: call PMSLEEP 100
Also when the phone reboots during the first step unplug it wait until android boots back up then plug your usb back in so that you can force the ability to mount the sdcard.
What was happening in my case was the batch file was calling the pmsleep.bat file to quickly before my phone was totally booted up.
Hope this helps for those having problems.Thanked by 22:+ Show/Hide list of the thanked
