IRC has OFFICIAL leak of 2.2 for the Fascinate!

Just though I would share the news that some of the guys over at IRC are passing around an official leak of 2.2 Froyo for the Fascinate! Check out punk kaos' twitter feeds over the last couple of hours!

punk kaos: "Ok, since JT let it out of the bag already, yes we DO have a Fascinate 2.2 leak. No you can't have it yet."

I think I might break down in tears. . .

With devs like punk kaos and jt working on this, it literally could be only a matter of days before the leak is running smoothly and made public.

THIS, not some tweet or press release from Samsung/VZW about a 2.2 OTA, is what we've REALLY been waiting for. A sign from the devs that the 2.2 light is at the end of the tunnel.

any improvements over DL09 aside (JIT, certain 2.2 only apps, etc), i think the main reason all of us have been impatient has been due to the sheer principle of the thing and the fact that so many other phones, many smaller/weaker/whatever, have FroYo and the FASN8 doesn't.

According to punk's most recent post, they not only have the .32(Froyo) kernel they also have the ROM. Oh my. . . strap yourselves in fellas(and ladies) the Fascinate is about to take off!

. . . way to burst my Froyo Bubble of Joy!. . . and yes it may take time for them to clean it up but it's definitely worth being stoked about.

It will be interesting to see if this will pull some developers to the Fascinate community. I hope with this and jt's 2.2 AOSP for the Fascinate we get some more dev love. I am perfectly happy with the guys we have currently developing custom ROMs, but as they say, "the more the merrier"!
