Unable to recieve pic messages

When the pic message comes through it says downloading, bit it never downloads. Help.

What build are you running? Any custom roms? Are you using the stock Messaging app?

mine doing same thing rooted firmware is .2.2.1 kernel is 2.6.32.9 build is sch-1500.edo4 stock messaging app

Are you having trouble with any other data related things? Just wondering if it may be a 3g related issue.

not that im aware of recieve text msg but when i get a picture msg just says downloading

I had this issue last week (stock SMS app showing text that said 'downloading'). I installed Go SMS app and then it came through. This was the fix for me, maybe it could work for you too.

Hmm...I had the same thing happen to me with a pic message.

I had the same problem. I just went to the app store and downloaded handcent and then it worked. interestingly, once handcent downloaded it, it also showed up on the stock reader. Not really a 'fix', but it got the job done.

i just started using handcent sms as well everything works fine on it.just froze stock msg app

Hey kids i was having the same issues what i found was that Juice Defender was my issue i have uninstalled and have had no issues since.

Easy fix. In Messaging, go to Settings. Under MMS, uncheck Auto-retrieve.

No need to uninstall apps or install new ones.

You just need to click "download" when you get an MMS message.

I seem to remember reading something about this before. If I remember correctly, pic messages couldn't be downloaded while wifi was on. I think basically sms messages can be received while on wifi but not mms messages. Maybe I'm confusing this with something else, but if you had wifi on try turning it off and see if you still have the same problem with pic messages.
