I see alot of people have gotten their updates. I can't get mine. Ever since the release date I have been checking for updates I keep getting the message "No new updates available". I downloaded Samsung Kies Mini to see if I could update it there, I get the message "Device cannot be updated". I don't want to root it to get the download. I want the official download.

You could always ODIN a copy of the stock ROM for Gingerbread on to your phone instead. I found that was the best way for me to do it, because when i used the OTA, it broke my GPS. I used ODIN to flash the stock ROM and everything works as expected. You can find information on using ODIN throughout this site and XDA, and the file you need I will leave it for you to Google it. Look for: CI500_VZW_EH03_GB_CM.tar.md5.

Of course, if you do this you will wipe your data and your apps. So if that is your concern, I guess patience then? I have also heard of ways that people copy a file "update.zip" to their SD card and they can use that to update the phone to the latest ROM. However, I am not familiar with those steps for the update file. Maybe search XDA or here for that.

I'm really getting annoyed that my phone won't download the update. I must have tried it 500 times in the last week.

did you do a hard reset? i couldn't get the Froyo update, did a hard reset, and then the update came through. was annoying, but it got the job done. and my GB update came through fine.

No luck after a hard reset. When I go to system update if I click status it says " Source: Verizon Satus: Service Unavailable Code: 503 Date: Dec 31, 2011 Time: 9:06AM." check new " No new software update available' I think its a problem with Innopath Activecare
