Default Locale settings other than English and Spanish

    Hi,
My family just got fascinate yesterday after checking out the Vibrant from T-mobile. (but we wanted better network... i guess)

What attracted my parents was that Vibrant had option to choose Korean from locale setting. However, we found out that unlike vibrant, fascinate does not support Korean.

Could it be possible to have Korean menu on my parents' fascinates somehow? Will it require rooting?

If I understood the concept of rooting correctly, it should be possible to have Korean option if I could get Korean locale file from Vibrant or other Galaxy S, right?

    Please help! thank you.

Im looking into this for one of my friends who is korean and living in the US. Has anyone found if this is possible yet?

For now my buddy is just using one of the keyboard apps but would actually like to have all the menu's and settings display in korean.

    Have you tired MoreLocale 2?
I just googled it and looks like it has Korean locale.
Please let us know how it goes once tried.

Oh btw, there is another free app for Korean locale but looks like it's still in early stage where some of the localization is incomplete.

morelocale2 does seem to work, but has ALOT of room to grow.

For now, the only application effected by the change using morelocale2 is the App Market. I understand that no applications or any type of MODS will change the language of apps downloaded onto android device that was ONLY made for english, but morelocale2 does not even change language on contacts, settings, etc.. uninstalling.

Update** its the same thing with Set Korea.

If you do plan to root, you can try CM 7, it has almost all locales including Korean.
