Does anybody know if there is a way to organize contacts alphabetically by last name?

It seems like this would be such a simple thing to do. I have tried searching for an answer with no luck but this is driving me crazy. Maybe it's just me...

Not that I'm aware of. The old trick was to edit your contacts and type the last name first, but that's an epic pain in the *** if you have more than 30 or 40 contacts. =\

you could always switch to windows mobile... they notoriously prefer last name before first name... that was a pain in my a$$... now I'm happy as hell that android defaults to "first last".. joke..

but, to be serious.. I have not seen any way to easily accomplish this on android..
