Speak Incoming Caller ID + Ringtone?

Is there a setting to get the phone to read the incoming caller ID, and then play the ringtone? The only option I can find is on or off, and when set to on, it just repeats the caller ID over and over.

I've been there. I don't have anything about speaking the Caller ID. What OS are you on? I'm on 2.2. Unless it is a carrier-specific feature.

mine shows that option on dx under:
menu>settings>call settings>other call settings and there you have 3 options....ring only...caller id then ring..caller id repeat.

I"m looking for the same thing for my Galaxy S. ...speak the caller ID once, then go to ringtone.

My Galaxy S has voice to speech and it works well. I can set it to announce the Caller ID or set to a ringtone. I want it to both. My previous phone could be set so that it would announce the callers name/number, then start the ringtone.

Dragon will do that, you can also set it to read the text if you want. It does very well at names. It is free in the play store.
