Any one else have the notification bar start to appear during a call, so that when you're ready to hang up, you have to either drag the bar up or click "end" inside the notification window?

Is it maybe because something gets touched while I'm on the phone. It does it randomly, and I haven't really figured out a way to correct it, but it's really frustrating not being able to click the normal end button in the middle of the screen.

yeah happens to me when i pull my phone away from my face i get i touch it, just push it back up and press end

So that's all that happens... I just touch anywhere - either the screen - or up around the notification bar? It just seems to regular to be me pressing something.

Yup, I get the same thing on probably 75% to 80% of calls. It was frustrating at first when I wasn't expecting it, but now I don't even think about it - just flip back up the bar and hit end.

Same thing happens to me, but I noticed that it has only been happening for about the last month. Before that, it never happened. I don't know what changed.

For me, it's happened from stock on through pretty much every ROM I've tried. Maybe the proximity sensor is a little too sensitive, perhaps the screen might be turning back on too quickly, before the phone it removed from contact with my ear and the bar gets flicked down.

Maybe it'll be addressed in 2.2, maybe not. I've gotten used to it, so I'm not too worried.

It's not that it comes all the way down (where I could just slide up - I'd be ok with that). It usually just shows itself at the top of the screen, requiring a slide down and back up or just a tap on the notification bar (sometimes harder to hit then you think) to be able to end the call. Any suggestions? Thanks for the help so far, and I look forward to any other guidance you guys can provide.

Happens to me probably 80% of the time...not sure if it's an Eclair bug or a bug in TouchWiz.

I also experience this occasionaly. I always assumed it was because the phone was pressed to my face.

I run Launcher Pro, so I don't think it's just a touchwiz thing. So no fixes though? I was really hopeful of someone pulling through.

Launcher Pro isnt going to replace the way the Dialer is set up, if someone comes up with a fix we will post it up for you

I run ADW Launcher and the Same thing happens to me.

happens on my phone too and I have LauncerPro as well. It's just that every once and a while my ear will also hit the "mute" button in the middle of a call.

Same here. Glad it is not only me. I just drag the bar down at the end of the call and hit end in the notification bar when it happens
