VZW Backup Assistant Problems?

Is anyone having issues with the VZW Backup assistant? I got a refurb this week because my original was running really hot. Since I got the refurb, I cannot login to Backup Assistant. VZW has NO clue what to tell me to do.

It keeps telling me that authentication has failed.

Are you using just GMail for your contacts? If so, I wouldn't even run Backup Assistant.

NickA, yes and no. While my contacts are backed up in GMail, there are a few contacts that I would like to have restored to my phone that are solely in backup assistant. It isn't a major deal, but there is no reason why it shouldn't be connecting.

I see. Since you just got the refurb unit, you may as well just reset it and setup backup assistant when going through the wizard.

I just got a refurb unit last week (buttons stopped responding on my phone) and the one they sent me has the loose volume rocker issue, and a ton of side tone. I'm taking it back to try another.
