Message Notification Privacy

I personally can't stand the status bar message preview when I get a text. Is there any way to turn off the preview without turning off the notifications completely. For some reason in messaging settings there isn't a seperate option for turning on/off preview. Or is there possibly an app to remedy this? Thanks!

A 3rd party sms app might help. I use go sms and it has the option where it will just give you a heads up that you have a text message from the notification bar. Just make sure that you turn off the notifications from the stock sms app so that you don’t receive double notifications.

OK well I tried out GO SMS and it started randomly sending text messages to people. I LOVED the notification options it offered but I'm not going to risk my job LOL. Is there NY Dec that could make an app that has the same options as GO SMS? Please! Ill pay for it LOL!
