Thinking about getting this

But one of the reviews warns of the magnetic flap screwing with the phone. Is this possible? Anyone have any insight. Probably is a dumb question, but I want to be safe - 12-16-2011, 01:38 PM #2

I read some speculation elsewhere on a pre release review of the Nexus that a magnetic cover would screw up the NFC reception. Sorry, can't find the link right now to that article, but Wiki on NFC covers the subject, I think,... " As with proximity card technology, near-field communication uses magnetic induction between two loop antennas located within each other's near field, effectively forming an air-core transformer."

If you hit this link you can see the the convo I had with 3 different Samsung rep. the 1st said not to use them but the second 2 said the 1st was mistaken and they are perfectly fine to use and won't cause any harm to any part of the hardware including NFC chip.
