The Galaxy Nexus and I assume others, do not pull-up contact information from incoming caller ID if you've stored the contact number beginning with *82. Rather than storing every contact as both the virgin number and *82 version, has anyone seen an app that reads the incoming caller ID digits from right to left, rather than left to right ? As extension numbers don't come in on caller id, a right to left read of the last 7 or 10 digits would disregard the fact that your contact file began with *82, as the read would never get that far.
I understand that if your contact is stored with a trailing extension number, then a right to left read wouldn't work. However, I have very few contacts with extension numbers.
Thanks for the help.
