    Nice guide. Very well done.

As regards softkeys, just an FYI, for AOKP B30 and up you don't need zipthemer anymore, as is referenced in said XDA thread.

Yeah, I wanted to stick to a more general approach so I debated how much to discuss alternative methods past ZipThemer. Thanks for pointing that out for those who weren't aware though, I truly appreciate it .

Personally, I've tried messing with the AOKP B30 method (and I believe I might have hinted at that in the guide), but until more ROMs adopt it I think the safer "general" approach is ZipThemer, Metamorph, etc., but that's because I'm a paranoid, OCD little man.

I think the B30 feature is very, very cool though. I just wish I was able to enable my search button as usual, but that's a query for another thread .

There are no words that can describe this wizardry. A most excellent learning experience. Even though I knew most of what you talked about already, I've never seen it written out as fantastic as this. Fellow GNexiis, please take what he has said seriously, because it can only result in good things.

    Bravo, Dmmarck. Bravo indeed.

Awesome guide. You were the one who helped me get comfortable with flashing as well. This guide is the most well written, "noob" friendly guide I have ever seen. Kudos dmmarck.

Well done, here's a "Don't Panic" boot animation I created for myself, might as well share.

To install, you have to have the SDK installed, ADB in your path, and in the same folder as the .zip attached...

    adb push bootanimation.zip /data/local

    reboot and "Don't Panic"

I installed this and all it has is a flashing android word logo. Its not bad, just not even close to your screenshot.

Thats odd... It should show the image like I posted (or it does on my phone). I've used it on a stock nexus and now on my liquid ROM.

    If you want to remove it;

    adb shell rm /data/local/bootanimation.zip
Maybe you uploaded the wrong file? No worries, its all good. :-)

Updated with a link to Mr. Hildenbrand's fantastic summation of installing a leaked OTA on a stock-yet-rooted device. I included the link in the Flashing segment.

Mr. Wallace - not a problem at all. I hope you enjoyed it, and of course, if you have any questions you know where to go.

Either that or wait for the Thursday Night Hang Out? lol

Thank you! It's not as crazy and making your GN charge via solar power or a charging pad, but hey, not everyone is as baller as you my friend . I appreciate it!

Also, I will be updating it a bit, either today or tomorrow. I want to give some shout outs to zero's work with radios.

Seriously, I've contemplated doing the Touchstone thing for at least a month straight. I'm terrible with tools, however...lol

And thanks again, I appreciate it .

April 25, 2012 Update - added link to zero neck's awesome radio guide. Having a great guide that covers that topic simply is a major addition to the AC flashing section. In addition, the radio files are hosted in house, and really, that's awesome b/c there's no worse feeling than finding a file that has been taken down, inactive, etc.

Thanks again, zero, for letting me link!
