flashing themes

when I flash a theme, should I clear any caches?

Just reboot in recovery, flash the zip, reboot right? or should I clear the caches

Also, If I want to change themes, can I flash over an old theme or do I need to clear something?

clear cache and dalvik.

to change to a different theme, you can clear cache and dalvik but you might get a mash up of both themes. to be sure to change entirely, wipe cache, dalvik, and data, reflash rom, flash new theme.

When you wipe data, yes, not cache or dalvik tho.

What I've done several times. Haven't had any problems either. Just boot into recovery. Reflash your rom. No wiping. Then flash your theme. I've seen what zero is talking about when both themes merge.

Create yourself a backup and give my suggestion a shot. It should work just fine.
