Default Transparent status bar and navigation bar

Hey guys I have a question, how can I get a transparent status bar and navigation bar on my Gnexus? I've seen this done before, I'm just not sure how it's done. I'm currently on MMuzzy 4.2.2 rom. I guess, I would just like to use all of my 4.65" screen, thanks for any help guys!

You may need to change ROMs. I have been using AOKP for a while and it's been on there as long as I can remember.

Sounds like you're a perfect candidate for PIE controls. I've got it on CM and of course it's available in Paranoid Android. Allows you to completely hide the two bars in expanded desktop mode.
Other than that you need a transparent theme - you'd need to ask other MMuzzy users what themes are available.
