Redemption ROM
Has anyone here run the second release of Redemption ROM?
The developer is very nice and will answer your tweets.
I am thinking of making it my first ROM and flashing the Franco kernel.Nextel Flips > Motorola Slider > Blackberry Storm 9530 > Motorola Droid X > Galaxy Nexus - 01-06-2012, 01:19 PM #2

Re: Redemption ROM
Stable and fast, with little to know UI variations planned. Frankly, just how I like it.
Been in touch with him, and he did confirm that he's not going to be messing with the UI. Honestly, developers that do that too much lose my respect. - 01-09-2012, 09:33 AM

Re: Redemption ROM
THANKS! I see the third version already dropped before I could flash the second.

Re: Redemption ROM
I like how lou does videos on his roms and kernels. Makes the rom personal and approachable. Plus he looks like a down to earth guy.
I will get on this rom oneday soon. - 01-09-2012, 03:34 PM #7
Re: Redemption ROM
I will definitely be trying out this ROM in the near future. I'm on Axiom 2.4 now and loving it.

Thanks!

Re: Redemption ROM
Tried out RR, didn't like the performance when I was playing games (specifically GTA III). Games would lag a lot. Tried using Franco's kernel, same result. Went back to Bugless Beast. I haven't found a ROM to rival Pete's BB yet.

Re: Redemption ROM
Anybody run any quadrant scores (because they do matter)?

Re: Redemption ROM
I honestly don't know what the basis behind Quandrant and Antutu benchmarking is, but I got consistently lower scores running RR than Pete's BB.

Re: Redemption ROM
My wife was using her Maxx (stock image) to access her college website, and I was using this ROM on my GNex to access the same site at the same time and this ran circles around her phone. (I was using Chrome against her Dolphin Browser).
She even commented how my phone was so much faster than hers...

Re: Redemption ROM
I'd like to plug my little review on the AC frontpage: http://www.androidcentral.com/redemp...xus-rom-review
I like it. And I think that others would too. However, I'm getting to the point that I'm not sure as to whether or not it will continue to be actively developed... He's been very quiet for quite a while now. Anyone have any info?

How does this 4.0.4 compare to the official 4.0.4? Thanks!
