Haven't downloaded M4 yet but I definitely will.
Question for those who are running this ROM with Lean kernel + Lean tweaks. Haven't you noticed any SOD or random reboots? If so, what did you do to resolve them?

Thanks for the info. I'm gonna try this when I download M4.
Update: Flashed M4 without a wipe and everything is going good. Just a thought but I read that others were having issues when not wiping. I downloaded M4 from the same mirror as B27.

Re: [ROM] Android Open Kang Project
You need to do a battery pull - then replace the battery, then boot back up while holding VOL UP, VOL DOWN, and POWER ALL AT THE SAME TIME.
This will bring you to fastboot - you can select recovery mode by navigating with volume keys, then pressing enter to select.
From there just restore your backup and make sure you get a good download (check md5) and you'll be good.

Re: [ROM] Android Open Kang Project
I'm running AOKP M4 on my Galaxy Nexus and Galaxy Tab. I don't have YouTube installed or available in the market on my GT. It's there on my GN, though.
Please use the Thanks button below and to the right. - 03-20-2012, 07:51 AM #360

b28 with francos 98 is very smooth. i overclocked to 1344, it's almost as snappy as axiom. might give trinity a try out tomorrow.
i'm a simple man, with simple needs. jk but it's nice to get back to an aokp build.

Re: [ROM] Android Open Kang Project
I installed M4 a couple days ago and everything seemed to be working fine except gmail sync didn't work. Last night I updated to build 28. Before flashing the latest gapps I wiped the cache and the dalvik cache (as recommended earlier in this thread). It didn't change anything and I still can't get gmail sync to work. All my other accounts sync fine, it's just gmail.
Any ideas? - 03-21-2012, 04:20 PM #363

Re: [ROM] Android Open Kang Project
Clearing data for GMail had no effect. I think there may be problems syncing with other Google products as well. There were some error messages in logcat about bookmark sync and Google Talk can't connect
E/GTalkService(361): connectionClosed: no XMPPConnection - That's strange!
Watching logcat sometimes shows TONS of out of memory and GCs. Seems to be mostly related to the MediaScanner. When this happens the phone gets slow and hot and the battery level drops really fast.
I was on the leaked 4.0.4 ROM before trying AOKP. That was working pretty well so I think I'll restore my nandroid backup and make sure things still work on that ROM. - 03-24-2012, 12:17 AM #365
