I think the wheatley governor is only available in the nightly release.

Re: [ROM] Android Open Kang Project
I'm using a GSM Galaxy Nexus (bought from the Google Play store). I flashed the Franco kernel nightly 181. When I was using the wheatley governor, it did some funny things with the display. At one point it would show snowy looking dots. After rebooting the phone, a gray and white line was showing through the middle. Everything went back to normal after restoring from a backup when I using the Franco kernel milestone 4.

Re: [ROM] Android Open Kang Project
m38 seriously is the worst release yet of this rom......signal is non existant.
if I roll back to milestone 5 do I have to restore from a nandroid or can I just reflash the rom? - 06-09-2012, 09:26 PM #984
You could do either... However, I disagree completely. 38 is very solid I've had no issues, and a ROM isn't going to have any effect on your signal anyways.
If you're having noticeable issues in the usual places you don't then it's more likely just VZ network issues. That's also assuming you haven't changed your radios since. But yeah the ROM really won't have any effect.

Re: [ROM] Android Open Kang Project
yeah usually it shouldn't but this one is.
Same radios, same locations.
No signal in Hoboken, NJ today in numerous locations.....No signal in Basking Ridge, NJ along Rout 78.
No signal in Bethlehem, PA Lehigh University. Problems I had with 4.0.2 that disappeared with the 4.0.4 radios but with this nightly it's bad. - 06-09-2012, 10:26 PM #986

Re: [ROM] Android Open Kang Project
My favorite ROM so far. My one gripe is you lose the bookmark pop up shortcut in the browser when you long press the back button. My options are to either enable the quick menu in labs or access the bookmarks by flick scrolling to the address bar and going in that way. Any suggestion?

You could also tap on the menu button at the top and then tap on bookmarks.
I wasn't aware there was a shortcut to the bookmarks in stock ICS. When you say hold down the back button, are you referring to holding down the back soft key button?

Re: [ROM] Android Open Kang Project
When I go to google play search my verizon mobile, select the galaxy nexus, it tells me I already have it installed (done on a PC) i tried on the phone, doesn't even show up. I have gapps installed obviously and can download apps, either by PC or phone.
Also when I check apps, I only see My Verizon Mobile, when I just tried it I get message Unfortunately Verizon Login has stopped.

Re: [ROM] Android Open Kang Project
Thanks. I was aware of the flickscroll to top/menu->bookmarks but miss the one click option.
There is an browser shortcut to the bookmark folder in bone stock ICS. While in the browser, at any time if you longpress the back button softkey your bookmarks folder pops up. Once I discovered it I got very used to it. I find accessing bookmarks any other way clunky. - 06-10-2012, 12:38 PM #993

OK went in to apps, I only see my Verizon mobile nothing about Verizon ans nexus. Cleared cache there, turned off wifi and reboot, same issue. Which cache to wipe in recovery?
Not sure if it stopped when I changed to AOKP or vz had a update to myverizon app. Maybe there's a newer apk.

I have actually noticed problems too. After flashing b38 I had random data drops, an issue with my dialer that would sometime bug out and bring up an "in call" screen anytime someone called me so I couldn't see their caller Id, and worst of all it would randomly put the person on the other side of the line on hold mid call. I would be talking to someone and suddenly they'd be like "hello? Hello?" I'd look at my phone and it would say "on hold".
As far as this last issue, I just got 4g last week in my area, hope that issue isn't related to that. I reverted back to a Android of b37 and am going to stay here for a while to make sure everything's good.

Re: [ROM] Android Open Kang Project
arent data drops related to the radios? i am experiencing these too, my 4g keeps dropping off to 3g, and im in midtown NYC, supposedly my lte signal should be quite strong.
this is the worst time for data issues, i need to watch my footy at work!!! lol - 06-11-2012, 11:17 AM #999Former moderator & advisor.
