Morning shift reporting for duty. How goes things?

@davey.. Yeah that sucks man, I'm kind of not surprised that you couldn't just nandroid back given how 4.2 rearranges the partitioning of the sdcard due to the multiuser support. Restoring an earlier OS nandroid would not undo those changes so it makes sense it would pretty much bork your sdcard. At least a good factory image restore cures all :)

Howdy chatterinos. Long day of driving for me yesterday. Wish where we lived in Michigan had these speeds though. LTE is sick!!

Been up for a couple of hours already, which kind of sucks. I wake up around 3:30 AM like clockwork and can usually go back to sleep for a little bit longer, but tonight was a no-go. It's a little after 5 AM here and I'm thinking about entering myself into a McDonald's breakfast coma so I can get a few more hours.

Got all read up on rooting / recovery / flashing for my MAXX so I'm prepped for Friday. Pretty recent AOKP build so that's what I'm going to go with, although I was wishing there was a Paranoid Android port. Maybe I'll try to do it myself. Anyone else with a RAZR in here?

It always sort of surprises me how a single text message can sometimes bring a whole lot more than 160 characters' worth of emotion along with it... especially when noticed at 3am while falling asleep to the rain. (Which is awesome, by the way. :))

Meh. Who needs sleep anyway? :-\

Love the Razr design and love Moto hardware/radios/etc... but I don't think I can ever go with a non-nexus phone again lol. Vanilla Android is too nice.. not to mention the ease of hacking and restoring factors :)

If Moto ever gets to make a Nexus I'd be all over that like stink on poo.

I like the idea of a Nexus but stock Android bores the hell out of me. I'd just flash something else on it anyway. It would be nice to have that guaranteed dev community though. Once again though, I wasn't really looking for an upgrade, this just fell into my lap as a really sweet deal.

Fair enough :)

Speaking of poo it looks like Google late last night remembered to charge me for my Nexus 4 lol... oh wells. Today will be the first DD test for it.. will be judging how the signal holds up in the area and at the hospital. We all have horribly nonexistent reception there unless you're standing by a window pretty much - the school is where the old radiography department used to be so all the walls are lead-lined, makes our floor into a veritable dead zone haha. Battery life I'll be watching pretty closely too. Going to try and use it for all my normal needs, browsing, tapatalk, etc and the Gnex only for any texting and calls while I'm in test mode :)

Don't forget the porn-watching stress test.

I got to test this for my area over the weekend. I was giving directions to my house via phone to a TMo user. About 3 miles away from the house the call got dropped and I couldn't call them back. Found out they lost coverage entirely. My inability to switch to TMo has been confirmed.

So early.

Whiner :p

First 2 tests.. Getting off the subway: Nexus 4 took about 10 seconds to get full signal and data connection, Gnex about 3 times as long. In school: gnex signal in this spot around -95 db, nex 4 around -105, gnex wins that one. Although the weaker tmo signal feels fine in use.

Ian, I'm so mad you have an N4 lol. I've yet to make it out to a store to check one out - I'm dying to see how the screen is. My friend has a DNA on order, so that will whet my appetite for screens pretty soon. nomnom.

oh, and TODAY WAS MY LAST DAY FOR PHYSICAL THERAPY. wooooooooooooooooooooooo
