Re: [ROM][5/4/12][4.0.4][AXI0M] CROSSBREED and PATIENT ZERO
As with ANY ROM... if you chose to not wipe (or in the case of th3ory's ROMs use the version that doesn't wipe your data).. then you have to realize that any and all issues you might run into should not be posted about or considered a problem with the ROM until you have done a full wipe and reflashed it.
Every single thread where people ask if they have to wipe... the answer is Yes. There is always one guy who has to come in and say he didn't wipe and everything is fine.. sigh... lol.. just get into the habit of doing full wipes if you want to upgrade or flash a new ROM, unless the developer specifically states you don't need to coming from XX version to the new version... and even then it can be a good idea to wipe. - 05-08-2012, 11:07 PM

Is there an option somewhere that I'm missing that will get rid of those nav button placeholder circle things, when viewing pics/video?
PZ M2.5 btw

Re: [ROM][5/4/12][4.0.4][AXI0M] CROSSBREED and PATIENT ZERO
Hey since I'm posting stuff... if anyone missed this on droidhive... also only for PZ M2.5... this will replace your build.prop with one modded with a few lines of code that will uncap your 3G speeds... all thanks and credit to DHO over at droidhive. Just flash in CWR no need to wipe anything:
Worth noting that if anyone wants to dissect it you can find the lines in there (at the bottom, last section) that you can add to a build.prop in any ROM and it should have the same effect

Thanks. Yeah, I'm all good with adb and everything. I guess this is why I usually stick to non-themed ROMs. It just feels cheesy.
I appreciate the modded UI apk. I'll push it tonight when I get home. Have a feeling I'll be back on something else within a few days though. Honestly, there are so many things I don't like aesthetically I may just decide to make a nandroid and flash something else. If not, I'll constantly be trying to tweak the UI to make it more AOSP-like.
Thanks again man, I appreciate it.
Oh... and build.prop editing... haven't done that since my D1! Good times.

I've got a bad feeling that DT's new One X is going to derail this train.

I'm trying to, but the sad fact is that one person can only do so much, and none of us like to spend too much time playing with something old when we've got a new toy (meaning, I can't blame the guy at all). I don't think he's going to abandon the GN, but I do think we're going to be waiting a lot longer between updates. I'm getting verklempt.

Lol @ usage of ferklempt
I remember when he was getting the gnex he told us bionic users he'd keep updating our rom... . He never updated it once after getting the gnex haha.
Of course he means well but just like you said it's hard to keep up with it all, especially as a hobby and when he has a new toy to tinker with. At least with this phone if he moves on we have tons of other development going on so we'll be good. He was like 1 of 2 people developing on the bionic so when he left we were screwed haha that's why I grabbed the nex as fast as I could

Re: [ROM][5/4/12][4.0.4][AXI0M] CROSSBREED and PATIENT ZERO
2defmouze, are you currently using this ROM? I used to be on codename because you and some other people I saw frequently supported it. But seems like his thread went cold. Looking to switch to another ROM, just can't decide which. I don't like updating my ROM too often just because of the time it takes to do so.

Re: [ROM][5/4/12][4.0.4][AXI0M] CROSSBREED and PATIENT ZERO
Codename quit the game, hence the dead thread, lol...
Yeah I'm running Patient Zero M2.5 right now. Love it.. though not everyone will love the UI stuff th3ory does... What I would recommend is really AOKP, I just woke up so I don't even know yet if they got b36 up last night I know they were trying to but go for it anyways.
What Th3ory has now that started last night are these conversion packs he's making for like every ROM, lol, that you can flash after you've set up your ROM and it will give you all his AXI0M goodies, i.e. speed tweaks and init.d scripts, beats audio, sony bravia engine, tons of more stuff. Here's his thread with the info for that, just read the OP and see what I'm talking about:
Yeah so let me know if you got any more questions

Re: [ROM][5/4/12][4.0.4][AXI0M] CROSSBREED and PATIENT ZERO
Yeah I'm going with AOKP.. though I might flash something else for a brief time just to play with and be a crackflasher, lol... but I'm sure I'm going with AOKP for the long-haul.
Th3ory's UI stuff would be blacked out menu gradients (as opposed to the black-grey gradient you see more stock), more blue system text, his softkeys (which are easy enough to change if you want), non-transparent notification pull down, probably some more I can't think of... I'll post a screenshot or 2 in a sec to give you an idea. I mostly like what he's done but some people don't. With AOKP there's enough themes and bits and pieces out there that I can recreate the parts I like anyway, like the blacked out settings and menus and stuff..

Re: [ROM][5/4/12][4.0.4][AXI0M] CROSSBREED and PATIENT ZERO
2defmouze, thanks for all the advice! I think I will go the route your suggested.
I have 4.0.4 radio already installed form long time back. Do I need to upgrade that before installing AKOP?
So I need to do a full backup, full wipe, install AOKP, reboot, then clear my cache & dalvik, flash the AXIOM goodies on top, and that's it?
I hope the battery percentage display without a background image like in codename is available. I really liked how clean that looked.
